Murilo Salviato
Major: Double Major in Economics and Finance
Campus Activities: Tennis Team for four years
Impact of 91°µÍø: 91°µÍø has given me the opportunity to meet people from all over the world, make new friends and get a high-quality education with awesome professors. Also, being part of the tennis team was a blessing and I would not trade it for anything. I knew since the beginning it was not going to be easy, since I came from Brazil, and I would have a totally different lifestyle that I was not used to. However, the environment 91°µÍø provided me made this transition much more natural and easier. My teammates and my best friends at 91°µÍø made me feel at home and I can say they were my second family over here.
An important lesson learned: I believe the biggest lesson I’ve learned during these four years of college is that the only way to grow as a person in life is when you put yourself out of your comfort zone and face your weaknesses with no hesitation. We must fail many times to find a correct way to do things we are not comfortable with. Studying and playing at 91°µÍø gave me the chance to face all my fears and difficulties in the best way possible, which shaped me to be the person I am today!
Plans for the future: I hope to use everything I’ve learned in my future career, and my goal is to be part of an investment bank and continue to apply my knowledge to have a life I’ve always dreamed of! I will be moving to New York in June to work at Larchmont Yacht Club as a finance manager of the tennis program of the club. I believe it’s going to be an amazing experience and hopefully I can continue learning new things and getting new experiences that will be useful for my future career as well!
